The EA assessment is designed to assess students’ achievement of the following Intended Learning
Outcomes (ILOs):
- identify the role and functions of human resource management to various sectors of the
hospitality and leisure related industry; - justify the appropriateness of human resource plan and staffing process of an organisation
in the hospitality and leisure related industry; - evaluate the appropriate application of the essential elements in devising plans related to
employee training and development in the hospitality and leisure related industry; - explain the importance of various components and methods in the compensation and
benefit system of the hospitality and leisure related industry; and - appraise various human resource management practices while complying with the current
legislations, ordinances, regulations, code of practice, rules and standards under the
employment context in Hong Kong.
