This assessment is a 3,000-word written essay on a proposal for a public health change event.
You are to critically discuss a public health change event (intervention) for a relevant
public health issue in an appropriate population and setting. It is important that the choice
of the public issue is one of interest to you as there will be a need to provide rationales that
are both
i) objective and
ii) subjective for the choice of the health issue, population, and
setting.
This assessment draws on the learning outcomes and other key concepts covered
through the module. The subheadings to be covered as part of this assessment are outlined in
the marking criteria provided in the next page. The table below is a quick checklist which
serves as a guide towards helping you decide the key items to chose for your essay.
Important: It is crucial to bear in mind that the premise of this work is that YOU are leading
the proposed change event. This understanding should inform your decisions and choices and
